Q: So today I was driving in my car (well, not my car… because I'm like Ferris Bueller and still have to bum rides of people…) and I heard an interesting story on the radio news hour. My favourite news reader for Triple J, Elise Stratum, informed me that newdevelopments had beenmade on the death of famed artist, Vincent Van Gogh. This story piqued my interest. It was interesting to me that now, more than one hundred years after his death, new facts have been brought to the table. So, the question is; Did Van Gogh really kill himself?

The 2TB version uses a standard desktop size 3.5″ HDD, while the 500GB model uses a laptop size 2.5″ HDD. The 3.5″ HDD will transfer files faster than the 2.5″ HDD, but will produce more heat.

My history with Seagate has not been so good. To me and many others, Seagate has a reputation for drives that fail quickly and unexpectedly. Everyone can repair a bad history, but I can't seem to forget Seagate's reputation. But like any bad relationship, things change and I must try to move on.

This Seagate GoFlex external hard drive looks good, really good. It's the kind of design that stands out from the crowd. But… where is the ventilation? All hard drives heat up, so why are their no air vents or fans? This worries me. All the eye-candy in the world won't make up for a burned up hard drive.

I walked into the grocery store not particularly interested in buying groceries. I wasn't hungry.. The pain of losing my husband of 57 years was still too raw and this grocery store held so many sweet memories... He often came with me and almost every time he'd pretend to go off and look for something special. I knew what he was up to. I'd always spot him walking down the aisle with the three yellow roses in his hands.He knew I loved yellow roses. With a heart filled with grief, I only wanted to buy my few items and leave, but even grocery shopping was different since he had passed on.Shopping for one took time, a little more thought than it had for two. Standing by the meat, I searched for the perfect small steak and remembered how he had loved his steak..Suddenly a woman came beside me. She was blonde, slim and lovely in a soft green pantsuit.

Awesome Band: Gomez

I first saw Gomez perform live in the spring of 2007.  My friend and I were going to see Ben Kweller; he was going to be followed by some band I'd never heard of called Gomez.   I was blown away.  Great music and just a fun show to see live.  My favorite album is still How We Operate, but the others are also good.  If you are looking for some songs to sample, try Girlshapedlovedrug or Whippin' Piccadilly.

Grants available to rural school districts « Rural Community Building

America's Farmers Grow Rural Education Grant

America's Farmers Grow Rural Education gives farmers the opportunity to nominate a public school district in their rural community to compete for a grant. The Monsanto Fund will award 199 grants this year. There will be 177 $10,000 grants and 22 grants of $25,000 awarded. 

 The nomination period takes place January 6 – April 15, 2012. Nominated school district administrators can then submit an application for either a $10,000 or $25,000 grant to support a science and/or math educational program by April 30, 2012.
