White Wine & Peach Sangria :: Leslie Durso

September first…. really!!??  I can't believe this Summer is almost over!  In order to squeeze the last bits of sun and fun out of this Summer I decided to make sangria.  Sangria always reminds me of warm Summer days, usually by the beach, hopefully somewhere on the coast in Europe.  While you can make sangria about a bazillion ways, today I decided to use what I already had in the house (pure laziness not to have to go to the store).  But in using what I had, I came up with a new sangria recipe I'd never made before (yay!).

What Are Some Of William Shakespeares Main Achievements

what are some of william shakespeares main achievements

Othello by William Shakespeare (Shakespeare Reading Month).

"Reputation is an idle and most false imposition; oft got without merit, and lost without deserving."

Othello is the last of the "great" Shakespearean tragedies that I've read (those tragedies include Hamlet, King Lear, Macbeth, and Romeo and Juliet). I knew I wanted to end my reading of the tragedies with this one because I knew I would love it. It is a play that is often talked about, and I have been lucky not to have it spoiled for me.

Like The Merchant of Venice, I read it without doing research beforehand. I think the fact that I understood it and knew what was going on speaks to how reading so many plays has helped my knowledge of Shakespeare's sentence structure. It also kept up a bit of mystery as I read, as I didn't know what would happen.

I am glad that I saved it, and that I finally read it since it is a play that is part of the curriculum for the district I have been working in. It was about time that I read it!

What Are Matrices Used For?

What is the matrix used to reflect a point across an arbitrary line in the coordinate plane?

Question by : What is the matrix used to reflect a point across an arbitrary line in the coordinate plane?
In geometry class, I studied transformational geometry. In my textbook, there is a graphing calculator activity where you imput matrices to transform objects. So I was fascinated and began to learn matrices on my own. I have matrices for arbitrary rotation, dilation, and translation, but none for reflection. So I researched it, but found nothing. Is there a matrix for reflection ? If so, what are the entries ? If not, explain why.

Can Stress Cause Miscarriage

can stress cause miscarriage

Can extreme stress cause a miscarriage?

Last Monday I suffered a miscarriage, two days after being severely hared by husband's ex. When I say severe, I mean to the point of a panic attack... I had just seen my OB-GYN the previous Tuesday and everything was fine, we saw the heartbeat and everything. When I returned to my OB-GYN on the day I miscarried (because I had began spotting the day before) there was no heart beat, and even my OB-GYN was perplexed.
